Good morning everybody.

My name is SAlvador. I have looking at cryptocurrencies for a while and I am really interested in create my very own crypto: new name, new blockchain, new  mining rules... but with all the advantages in place ( smart contract, excahnge, etc... ). I have been looking at bitcoin but not been able to reach this for the moment. Can anyone please help me and let me know if it is possible with Nxt, maybe downloading the open source and tailoring it ?. Can you please let me know if there is any utotrial or where to start ?.

My advice would be to wait for the Monetary System function of NXT.

This will make it possible to create a currency with 3 clicks.

PoS/PoW/Amount; you can decide that all by yourself.

I don't know when this will launch though. But it will be in 2014 for sure.

However, in the meantime, is it possible to do this by digging into the source code ?. I want to run a kind of "new economy" for the children of my family; it's a funny way of teaching how real life works. Thanks again

It is possible to copy NXT and start a new one.

NFD and NAS are examples of it. They copied the source code of NXT. But I'm not technical and can't help you with this.

Thanks all of you. I have dowloaded Next SRC and looking at it at mom. I open a Netbean project and run it. It is very strange as it seems is downloading NXT blokchain. Is it possible to create a new one and use it between two compuetrs I have ?. The problem is taking a long time to download the entire blockchain. What will happen when there`s tons of transactions, is not possible that th eentir P2P betwork collapse if it keeps growing and growing ?.

Hello,

yes, you can copy the NXT blockchain and use it on another computer. Its stored in the folder nxt_db, if this is what you refering to.
The blockhain will grow over time, but NXT is also designed to use "blockchain pruning", this means the size of the blockchain can be cut.
