Any update about this project? where to find it?

The Iguana wallet for SuperNet has been released a couple of weeks ago and it's actively being debugged and improved, once it's stable James will start adding DEX, Pax and other features that are needed for also Pangea to work properly. He think he could have Pangea running by the end of this year.

In the latest Q&A about Waves, Sasha has repeated that assets will be ported to Waves once the features are ready:

Q: “Elec is asking, ‘What’s happening in the future with all of the assets that have been created on the NXT platform?”
A: “They will be transferred. I have too much on my hands right now. As soon as we have dividends, I will transfer all of those assets to Waves. It will be good, also, for testing because I can test everything out with my own assets. Yes it will happen, sure it will happen.”

I suppose we can't do anything but wait

Is this project still running??

I started working on a similar project back in 2013 after I was playing BTC poker at sealswithclubs.
Then something happened and I wasn't able to continue with the project.
Anyways, I believe this project can succeed in the long run if there will be option to use multiple digital currecies as payment method, and even add options for using eg "paysafecard" and similar systems..  So in other words You buy let's say 5000 pangeachips inside the game with any of the digital currencies, like NXT, BTC LTC or with anonymous cash options. These chips are then used to buy-in for tourneys, sit'n-gos, cash games and so on.

The second most important thing is that you build web client, stand alone client, and mobile/tablet apps.
A lot of pokerplayers move around a lot, and they need these options..

Finally, good luck!!

P.S. I have been playing poker all around for some fifteen years on professional level, and been in the crypto communities since bitcoin was 3 bux a pop. If you would like me to get involved in the project on some level, plz let me know..

Yes, still running and my understanding is that it has been mostly coded but it first needed other services in order to be completed. The fact is that Pangea is part of a much larger project called Supernet that has been in the works for 2 years. Now Supernet is almost ready for delivery with Komodo ico ending soon and the launch of Iguana wallet. I believe that with the amazing speed of James coding and the new funds for development it's entirely possible that Pangea will be ready in 2017

Ah and it does have all the features you listed above!  :D

Please join the community on Supernet slack, there is a channel for #pangea

In other words, none of the assets working capitals will be affected by these swaps for waves, effectively raising future divs for people that decide to move their assets to the new blockchain instead of swapping them for waves?

That is my understanding as well

So Waves crowdsale is going on and I just noticed that all of coinomat's NXT AE assets are swappable for Waves tokens. I figured these would continue to live on the Waves network but am I mistaken? Is owning these a dead-end street now? Or will there be asset swaps to the same thing on the Waves network?

You have choice, you can either swap them in exchange for wave tokens (that is you lose the asset but get the token) or you can hold the assets and transfer them to wave blockchain where they will continue to live as assets.

Any update about Shylock.io and asset?

What if asset-to-asset trading is implemented first, then before proceeding with the 2.0 plan we wait until assets get repriced in Btc/Fiat terms. Once assets are mainly traded in Btc/Fiat there should be no issue, isn't it? Is this idea flawed or could work?

I'm sorry but after reading carefully and making some test this seems still beyond my competence. Testing at this stage still needs people who know what they're doing with a command line.

I'm no coder, I can test if there's a eli5 document with instructions

sorry guys, I think this is nonsense. Walk through it: Money emerges as a base reference value token naturally (Kauri shells, Gold, BTC) exactly because it is needed as an intermediary abstract valuation step when comparing the value of different things with each other.

You missed the point that the main use case is the direct trading between assets and Btc (superBtc) or fiat money like USD (CoinoUSD) or EUR (CoinoEUR). This would be like attaching rocket boosters to the AE and Nxt itself.

The plugin is not doing what we need. its perfect to make a p2p trade if you already know your counterparty. If you want to have orderbooks like on the AE currently, this needs to be in the core.

It would also make be possible to trade assets for other fiat pegged assets like CoinoUSD (or PAX once it will be ready). Nxt price swings will not matter anymore

There were a couple of occasions where I would have really liked such feature. It would further expand Nxt use cases and the more options you have the better it's for nxt ecosystem. I see now there's a plugin for that but I haven't tested it, why not in the core?

I'd call it "MacGyver" with all the stuff it allows to do

I'm not invested in any of his assets
If he dumps all his investors' NXT, it'll be absorbed and NXT will go on.

Supernet would die though and everyone who invested in it would be out their money.

Good for you. You have voiced your completely irrelevant opinion.

Repeating yourself will only make you look ever worse, so better don't.

he now sounds a notch less credible than the guy in his avatar

Nxt General Discussion / Re: Maybe it's time to open the NRS development?
« on: November 06, 2015, 08:35:28 pm »
If development were open this screw up would have been noticed in advance and prevented.

I do not think so. Problems about this have been raised by developers and ignored. Why should this change when development would be open?

I'm not a dev but I have the impression that the api changes went unnoticed until 1.6.2 was released in the field, isn't it? Wouldn't an open development make it easier to track changes and to raise questions in advance about the controversial ones?

Yes development now is better open, clones are no longer an issue. If development were open this screw up would have been noticed in advance and prevented.

I really hope the Nxt dev team will change their mind and make 1.6.3 backward compatible. This is a very serious crisis and if this issue doesn't get resolved Nxt will lose one of its main 3rd party projects. I'm convinced that 99% of the community agrees with this position. And in case of doubt we have the voting feature and this is a damn use case for it!!!

The silence is almost certainly due to the fact they're very busy working to solve the issues, otherwise there would have been official communications by now
