We are looking to offer a bounty and developers to work the project.

Integrating NXT Coin to a Wallet and to a Vault. (And tokens from the AE and Monetary system)

And developers to achieve the project.

What would be a suitable bounty to be offered to accomplish such a task.

Offers and Suggestions.

More details would help a lot.
I head up content for BitScan, crypto business hub.

Very simple:

Integrate NXT into a online wallet and Cold storage vault but all transaction must be logged on the blockchain.

Much like adding NXT to an exchange then? I guess there will be rough figures around as this has been done a few times, but don't know.

If it's so simple why don't you do it yourself? I don't understand the second part of the sentence at all. Why should tx be logged on the block-chain?

Not a question that can be answered on this information.

Unless it's a service that would give Nxt véry significant market share, it's not something that I'd put money towards.

I see this a lot from startups: "Give us money and we'll add you to our GREAT service".

I like to turn it around to "You think Nxt is great and will give you users, so there's your value right there". Any normal company knows that you need to invest in something worthwhile.

Nxt is free, and they can add it without too many costs. I think that's a rather good deal already. Why wé should pay to be added to an unknown company is beyond me.

Unless this company represents something huge, I would see no reason at all to pay them for the "privilege" to be used by them.

If they think Nxt is so good, let them add it. If they réally want it, they would not be asking ús for money.

That's great.

But this is a question about what a company should be offering as a bounty to integrate NXT to there Platforms.

This would then make it more easier for adoption.

Many state that it's too much work to integrate NXT therefore they do not bother.

S0 my question is simple what if these companies offered a bounty to NXT devs to do the integration.

What would you say is suitable Bounty.

Ah, then I misunderstood.

Well, we'd need to hear from the devs here, I think.

I'd imagine it depends on hours and adequate payment.

There is a bounty for NxtBridge. If you have actual users asking for help, let us know.

Turns out this stuff is not trivial, mostly because users know bitcoin (or think they know, but actually don't). I'll give a counter example. In Bitcoin one can easily spend several months or even a full year on integration, which reaches institutional grade quality.

Given the information your provided you likely don't know precisely what you want, how Nxt works, etc. You have to be more precise. It seems likely the money needed is not what you might think (2-4 weeks of full-time work). It really depends on what infrastructure you have, what you want to build, etc.

If you use the mynxt API, it would make it cheaper and easier to integrate your site to NXT: http://www.mynxt.info/apidocs/index.php

There is a funny disconnect between what some of us have experienced with a few obviously dedicated exchanges (not so difficult, ref. CCEDK, CCEX and BTer),

and what many other exchanges claim (far too difficult).

Having been exactly in this gap, I think that integrating NXT is far easier than Bitcoin, and insisting on having a 100% Bitcoin like coin API is just bad business sense.

And as Damelon mentioned: NXT is free, so why should we pay for a business to use something they get for free in the first place?

(and it really seems like the 'accounts' feature in Bitcoin is an unbelievable FlusterCluck)

Also, Nxt is nót harder to implement.

What they are actually saying is "We don't know it (yet), it's too hard!"

Anything is hard if you don't know it. Doesn't mean it actually ís.

here is the standard guide by the way http://nxtra.org/nxt-integration.pdf

Would be nice to have an open-source web app, as example for multi-wallets (perhaps there is already some code somewhere?).

It really depends on how what requirements you have. Having something working, and making it secure and reliable are very different things. There is a reason exchanges get hacked all the time. Because even most programmers capable of creating a website, are not able to create 100% security. It would definitely be interesting to expand on best practises. One thing I can say is that Nxt threading could be improved to run more reliably. It would be good if NRS would implement a daemon like process (clean start and shutdown).  There is a lot of things to do from server side perspective (Build-tools would make deployment much easier, Testing is really required for running a reliable service, things I've suggested and actually provided solution for, currently not wanted).

This is all true but we are currently running into people that simply say we are not spending resources on adding NXT as it will take a lot of time and effort.

The point is if there was a way to counter-act that type of response.

NXT Dev Task force specifically attending to those requirement for companies wishing to add NXT

NXT integration doesnt take a lot of time and effort. it depents what you want to achieve.
if you want to send NXT you may use mynxt wallet API or run a own server.
if you want to receive NXT you have to run a own server and check for incoming transactions with a script. ok thats a little bit more work than sending NXT. in some weeks i can help on the receiving side with this service: https://nxtforum.org/nxt-projects/nxtpn-payment-notifications-for-deposit-processing/

To check only incoming transactions is no need to run own server, because you don't sent any private information... you can use public nodes with open API ( list on nxtpeers.com )
