Title: The (British) Treasury is asking for information on new digital currencies

It's not the government that's the problem here (yet). It's the banks. They hate crypto and won't play ball with any crypto organisations. Several exchanges have been hamstrung when banks withdrew facilities for no good reason.

My self and another are already in contact with the treasury. One big problem is they take 30 to 60 days to respond to you.

Then they do not know who is meant to be handling this. this has been going for 3 months already so way before the article in the paper.
