Problem after updating NXT wallet

Is the Wesley’s Nxt client gone? I tried to uninstall it after reading the instructions on the forum but now i can't install NXT at all.

I recently updated my NXT walet and now everything seems to want me to use a browser based version.

The old wallet is unable to connect to the Server ect ect.

Is there a way to install the older version of NXT on which did not involved using a broswer to run or open ?

Or am i being a nooblet at is "Download the Nxt Client v1.5.12" just all there is ?

I need help with this too... I think I'm using the last of Wesley's wallet (2.2.0), and with NXT 1.5.12, I never get any peers, and after a little while, a message saying NRS has exited, and then another message saying it is shutting down NRS... since NRS has already exited, it never gets to shut down NRS and I have to kill it in task manager (Win7)...

I won't use the browser version... ever... so would appreciate a solution to this...

ps: Oh, and Wesley... could you do something to your client to differentiate it from the NXT program of the same exact name? Perhaps having Wesley's NXT Client in the title bar instead of just NXT Wallet?

Did you try deleting the db (which has changed location to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\NXT)?

I had this problem once with an old DB version.

edit: just saw you won't use the browser version.
This may be the problem actually.
Wesley's client has not been updated in months.

I don't understand your post. Damelon said just above that Wesley's client hasn't been updated in months. If it needs to be more explicitly on topic, we can word it answering the first question in the OP.

As far as we know, yes.

You may want to keep in mind that Wesley's wallet used the same UI files that are displayed in the browser (html, js, etc) but in a different window. So maybe you can reconsider your reluctance to use a web browser.

But if you don't want to use the Nxt Client (cross platform download, or executable Win installer) and you don't want to use the Jay Wallet, nor other online clients, maybe you can wait until alternative clients like Mofowallet release an update. I also heard that superNET is preparing a cross platform bundle that will include among others the Nxt Client and that, as Wesley wallet did, wraps html/css/etc contents in non-web browser fashion.
