The owner of yBitcoin contacted me again a few days ago asking if you guys want to advertise in the magazine again. This time they are also extending it to be on bitcoinmagazine.com website aswell as they just recently bought them out.

I suggest NXT should get a "sponsored" full page article written for it. They will also post it on their website aswell. This time its for the FALL release and they are getting more venues to distrubute their magazines.... This time they getting it distributed at Defcon in las vegas, its the biggest hacker related conference.

Right now deadline for the full page article is by the weekend. Yes i know its short notice... Also they have to have their editors review it before getting it passed. They also have their own writers, but I think the nxt community can come up with something better than some other 3rd party writing about it.

They are asking for $4000 for the full page. And they usually hook me up with at least a 10% discount since I've been helped them store their magazines at my shop for the bitcoin conference here in nyc.

If that's too much we can possibly just rerun the same $1000 half page ad we did in the spring issue....

Let me know what you guys decide. As this is a Time critical thing if you want to get some marketing out there....

Next steps:
- Get in contact with who's willing to back this? Depending how much is raised half page ad or full page article.
- Write a full page article or rerun old ad
- Layout the article or update existing ad (http://prntscr.com/6iqrfn).

What's the community thinking about this? What is the marketing team thinking about this?

What's the community thinking about this?

I have no idea.
- Did the previous ad do anything? Were we contacted via the ad? Did people mention it when they contacted us?
- How big is the magazine, how many people see it, and what kind of people?
- How much budget is available for these kinds of things?

My gut feeling is that paper ads aren't that useful, I hardly read them myself anyway, just skip past them. The strength is in use cases, and articles like on Forbes. All serious crypto people already know NXT and know how to find more information about it. I'd rather invest money into a good website than a paper ad.

This is my same gut feeling, there are much better ways to spend that money.

So...is someone blatantly lying here, huge miscommunication, or Greece changed their mind about NXT?   ???

I don't know it. It was created by Brian Kelly a year ago https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=591114.0
No idea how it's connected to Drachmae or NXT/SuperNet. Maybe it's a MS coin now? ;)

"Drachmae.Money will charge a fee for each Nautiluscoin transaction." <-- how does this work?

"As a complex blockchain project, Drachmae requires infrastructure that supports multiple blockchains. As well as supplying a pool of digital currency developers and professionals, SuperNET also provides the multi-blockchain technology that will contribute to Drachmae’s success."

Nautilus runs on Drachmae runs on SuperNET runs on MS? :P

a couple of random questions for today July 8, 2015.  1) a year and a half from now, if nxt hits $1.50, what happens when all of the current 'now rich' developers close up shop and call it a career? and 2) 3 years from now, after a few more countries financial collapse(s), what happens when their respective governments outlaw business' receipt of virtual currency as a form of payment?  or outlaw them completely due to stealth features?

1) What will happen is that just like Bitcoin, which is worth 270$ at the moment, there will be people that would still develop Nxt.

2) Just like Internet, you can't ban crypto. Or you can ban it but crypto will still exist and serve the purpose.

If Nxt hits $1.5, it will bring in hundreds of new developers and projects.  The MarketCap of Nxt will be so high that JL will most likely be implementing small changes to the core and it won't require much effort/developers.  Most innovation will come from the plug-in side of Nxt.

additionally, we have some features within Nxt that are not yet enabled because the network is not strong enough. These features would be enabled then :)
