This will be huge for BTC.

This opens doors for more people... but if number of users did matter then Dogecoin would have 1B marketcap.

It's not just about individuals, this will lead to institutions buying BTC.  I guess we will see what happens in the next couple weeks.
Even under the shadow of Mt. Gox & Bitstamp, this will be scary huge.  Strap in, 2015 will be a wild ride. The just curious money alone will create a second bubble, remember to set your sell triggers.  Then buy back when the dust settles.

Yeah, it will be interesting, I think Coinbase is more secure than Mt Gox and Bitstamp.  They will probably encourage users to store in "Vault" while not trading.  Hackers definitely have a new target.

I really should have bought more BTC when it dipped to $180 the other day. Is this price increase purely based on Coinbase news?

My interpretation of this chart is that BTC is posed for a breakout.  As you can see, BTC's movements are getting narrower and it is forming a descending triangle.  Usually breakouts occur in the opposite direction of the triangle.  In this case, it would mean that BTC is headed up.  If BTC breaks the $310 - $260 USD range, it will start another bull campaign.  The recent heavy volume is a sign to me that the breakout is probably imminent.  The breakout in triangles usually occurs before the price reaches the apex of the triangle.

Hope this helps somebody to not lose money.

Disclosure: I'm long BTC and NXT.   :)

Imo, people selling NXT to hold BTC are foolish.  A rising tide lifts all boats.  NXT will always be superior to BTC.

Disclosure: Still long BTC and NXT.

Why Nxt doesn't take off yet ? People are looking for a way to spend it, we need to make the marketplace a success.

BTC: $200-$250, NXT: $0.01-$0.015

And I pulled those numbers directly from my ***.
I wasn't serious back then, but it became true.
So even though I was also joking the next time I wrote a prediction, keep it in mind. It could also become true [hopefully it doesn't]:
BTC -> $100, NXT -> 0.00004BTC == $0,004
If you set your expectations low, you can't get disappointed. ;)

Just in case my predictions have some strange power, I predict:
BTC -> $100, NXT -> $100
[It can become true because I'm not serious]

Nice crypto market is going upwards. Also Nxt is having +12% right now and is close to pass stellar. The btc/nxt price is 5440 satoshi at the moment. So if anyone is interested...

[Yes, stopped thinking in terms of USD a long time ago.]

You lost your Nxt? :)
All in, 1 BTC = 1000$ in 5 hours and eleven minutes. :D
(Nah, I wouldn't sell my Nxt for gambling on the market, but I sold everything else.)

Wait for the Coinbase Lunar announcement. Market already reacted to rumor and will react to news soon.

I simply tend to think of BTC as a reserve cryptocurrency and I price everything in it.
Buying a new computer? This will cost me 3BTC. :-P [Even though I pay in zł].

EDIT: Does anyone know why NuBits have 3500BTC volume on a market cap of 6000BTC??? :o

I don't understand!!! ???

If BTC price is going upwards, why people are selling their NXTs?? :o
If keeping NXTs with same price will increase the value of NXTs, they must have kept their NXTs.
Why would they sell?? :-\

Don't they have trust in NXT? Or did I miss any news which is point that NXT won't grow, or don't have bright future? :'(
