Old world is not sleeping: MASTERCARD - World's first BIOMETRIC contactless payment card with integrated fingerprint sensor.

lol at the name : zwipe.

Contactless payment will be the new trend in 2015.

Cryptos are already contactless : scan a QR code with your phone and that's it.
No need to add any physical interface or new expensive terminal with high fees.

So apparently next week a bunch of countries are supposed to be releasing their inflation figures:
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-price-analysis-advance-proceed-slowly/

You know what would look awfully nice included with these numbers?

The inflation rates for the top 10 cryptos in terms of number of cryptos added to the supply this year, Bitcoin being something like 12%.. and a big fat 0 next to Nxt(and a few others).  Ripple I guess would have a 100% inflation since they decided inject a bunch of new ones into the market, right?

Or maybe that wouldn't be the right type of inflation?  Either way.. might be a nice chart.. I might whip it up if I have time but anyone else wants to run with it, go for it.

Regarding BitShares.. They have a couple good ideas but I've been saying they are overvalued for a long time now..  I still believe it.

Good idea!

I feel stupid asking this... but isn't MultiGateWayBTC a pegged asset just as BitBTC? Basically coinmarketcap could just list MGWBTC in their Asset list as they do with BitBTC.
MGW could even setup a MGW-BitUSD. That would be funny... could be an interesting use-case.

Also curious: As far as I read, there was something around 350% collateral for each BitUSD, right? So what happens if the Bitshares price falls so much (or the bitUSD demand is so high) that there are not enough Bitshares to provide the collateral anymore?

Since I'm at it: The DOGE community seems a bit depressed with the bad news lately. Since they lost Mitpal the MGWDoge could be interesting to them - especially once they can trade it directly against MGWBTC. So then we could market to them without coming accross like cheap car saleman... because they don't really have to bother with NXT as currency.
They also lost some online shop, so freemarket would be a great option that doesn't need you to know webmaster skills.

Thank you Thomas. But FreeMarket does not work with 3rd party coins yet. They are frustrated with yet another doxed exchange and we will come to them offering to trade their DOGE to NXT to trade on the FreeMarket. I think they will be pissed off with this.

Like an iPhone?

For what it's worth, I think contactless payment belongs in a watch, not in a card or a phone.

Card will harvest energy from the payment terminals without the need for a battery.

I'm impressed that they can run a finger-print scanner without batteries, but I'd still rather the technology was in something I wore on my wrist.

Also, I don't really trust finger-print scanners. I leave my finger prints on everything I touch, and if they become compromised, I can't easily change them.

Still, it's cool. It's just not the solution I'm looking for yet.

Yeah, really meaning when we can allow transactions that don't need, or don't show NXT. SuperNet should allow this for MGW in the future. So Freemarket could maybe use it too.

Mgwbtc is not a peg. It's a token swap. You deposit a btc and you get a mgwbtc. Now you can easily trade that mgwbtc asset inside the NXT ae, with only a 1nxt per transaction fee. Trade 1M btc for 1nxt if you wanted to.
When ever you want have your btc back,  you withdraw and nxrservices sends it to your btc wallet address.

If you're talking to those dogers,  let them know mgwDoge is up and running and same deal.
Install nxrservices into your nrs and you're all set.

mgwBTC is actually redeemable on a constant 1 to 1 ratio with BTC.  BitBTC is not.  One BitBTC is not always worth one BTC.  BitBTC isn't even redeemable for BTC.  You have to sell your BitBTC for BTSX and then sell your BTSX for BTC.  Somehow they construe the fact that you can sell BitBTC for BTSX for BTC as the same as being "backed" by BTC.

Last time I checked I believe they had raised collateral requirements from 200% to 300%.  That's right, you have to have 3 times the amount of BTSX value in BTC to get 1 BitBTC.  Who doesn't think that is a good idea?!  Lol  If I'm wrong on the collateral requirements sorry, but it's hard to keep track of what they are doing.  They keep changing everything every five minutes.

Oh and if the value of bitUSD is too high, they "print" more bitUSD and if the value of bitUSD is too low, they destroy bitUSD.  Sound familiar?  :D

Stop asking questions like this.  You're going to ruin the game.

https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/how-much-interest-would-there-be-for-a-crypto25-etf-(nxt-ae)/new/#new

Hello,

I am currently in the final phase of preparing a Crypto25 Index and the corresponding ETF.

Basically the Crypto25 Index will consist of the 25 cryptos with the highest "liquid" market cap. In practice this will be very similar to the CMC ranking, but it will include some changes as I see fit.

The ETF will either include the BTC investment, or BTC will be excluded. This is a major point that still needs to be resolved.

The Crypto25 will used to adjust the ETF bimonthly, or weekly. (Still unsure!). So it is a rather "actively" managed ETF, but in essence the inventory will follow very strict rules.

Please let me know some feedback/concerns.
