This forum still has a value, but it is true that it feels dead.
Slack is useless as an advertising tool: "Hey everyone let's hide in the back and whisper to each other!" It is useful for devs to talk internally, assuming they are in different locations, but leaves no digital footprint, so no one else knows that anything is happening.
Reddit would be fine for price speculation talk with people that have never heard of a crypto-whatever, but I am not interested in that.
Here is my Price Speculation: There is no future for NXT. Would you by Microsoft stock if Bill Gates started a new company making a software he described as MS 2.0? Ardor will generally follow the movements of BTC, LTC, and ETH unless it can create its own awareness in the public psyche. NXT was doing that until the Devs decided to change the name (Ardor) and lock the doors (Slack). There's my speculation. You might as well just buy BTC, LTC, or ETH, even though BTC and LTC are junk-tech compared to NXT/Ardor, and ETH is only half as developed as Ardor (or even Nxt).
Whenever I am on Reddit and I see someone ask a technical question, I see dozens or even hundreds of irrelevant comments before I see a useful response. It is a great place to discuss popular things like video-games or movies, but can you imagine discussing a niche subject like the NBCK on Reddit?
