Title: NXT used by corporations/government
Post by: itoenD533tee on January 13, 2018, 05:09:24 am
I am holding both NXT and ARDR and using the client App it seems that a lot of work was put into the client. It is not just another copy of Bitcoin Core QT wallet.

I've seen similar applications from Oracle, SAP, etc. It seems that NXT would be perfect for a corporate environment, it is looking "professional" and seems to be for a higher purpose than trading video game items on the blockchain.

Are there currently any non-blockchain businesses using NXT? I am thinking HR, equipment management, etc.

The client is definitely not suitable for corporations. The technology however can be used for different corporate business models.

Thank you for the reply, would you be able to elaborate a bit?

I am trying to gauge the future potential of NXT.
Of course, there is a common belief that ARDOR will replace NXT and that is the future :).

Nxt/Ardor/Ignis is very suitable for governments.  The best application I can think of is land management and title transfer using the asset exchange and monetary systems.

Thank you for the answer!

That is what I am hoping that someone starts using Ardor in some day-day application.

Where does community see NXT? FUDsters are spreading rumors that NXT is going to be dead, since Ardor is NXT 2.0, completely replacing NXT.
I don't believe that to be true.

According to Jelurida's White Paper, NXT will be supported for at least another three years. NXT will definitely not replaced by Ardor.

I would say: absolutely not! Check (https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=15430.msg241263#msg241263) other posts (https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=15430.msg241389#msg241389), Ardor platform is - in my opinion - to strongly controlled by single company (the Jelurida). That makes it unsuitable for governments as well as companies on the market.

Isn't this a public sector business?

BNP Paribas evaluates the Nxt platform.

Bitswift uses the Ardor platform.

This is only the beginning. Many other businesses will follow using Nxt or Ardor platforms.
