The Bitcointards are waging war against NXT now. I warned of this some time ago but I was pushed aside as a crazy person. Bitcointards are clearly not our friends. Jeff Garzik is leading the negative campaign against us calling NXT a "Scamcoin".

I'm not sure how Garzik should be dealt but his slanderous statements are extremely damaging and possibly libel.

What can be done to stop him from calling NXT a scam and financially damaging so many people with his misleading and libelous statements?

I'm sure that wouldn't do anything to stop him. He wants NXT killed as a competitor to Bitcoin.

I think most of the top Bitcointards have closed their minds to other experiments in crytocurrencies. They believe Bitcoin is the anointed coin destined for greatness and the world reserve currency of the future. It probably doesn't help that they are losing thousands upon thousands per day in USD wealth as Bitcoin goes down in price. He must be taking out his frustration on the coin that started all the new ideas of an actual crypto-economic platform which if course is NXT.

my point of view is these attacks are good news for nxt. if you ask me i smell fear in those FUDs fear to lost ground and be dethroned.
superNET mgw and AE gain track every day today i was reading in some bitcoin blog a explanation about what ICO mean. a term minted at AE. im bet most bitcoin devs know btc probably got relegated in 4 or 5 years by nxt but most of them are moderated enough to accept it and continue.
sadly this guy is making a show of him. the good part is he cant truly point the scam putting himself as stupid one and of course giving nxt more publicity.
we not need attack bitcoiners. i was one of them like 2 months ago and now i jumped 100% to nxt. of course they fear lost their icomes. i feared the same until i start playing with AE. we just need show them the benefits of nxt.
someone must create a btc wallet with superNET compatibility im bet we watch bitcoiner running in masses to nxt after few months of toy and trade with it.

Agreed. Calling someone a bitcointard doesn't exactly put us on the high ground here. Let's not fight FUD with schoolyard name calling.

Competition in the altcoin market is driving innovation at break-neck speed. Innovation that will solve Bitcoin's flaws like blockchain bloat, anonymity, long transaction confirmation times, etc.

I agree to what most say: don't stoop to their level. Name calling and panic is unnecessary.

I have yet to see any problem. Do you really think anyone is gonna panic-sell their NXT now?

Their arguments are weak. Had a longer twitter discussion with Garzik right now - and he lacks a consistent point. Whenever one argument is questioned, he just shifts to another.

Might be even worth calling him out on r/bitcoin - since I find his call for de-anonymizing miners and developers questionable. And calling NXT a scam reeks of fear. I think it's great promo.

It's free advertising. Jeff has thousands of subscribers. This is brought up at reddit/r/bitcoin - there are even more bitcoiners there. Not all of them are retarded or stubborn, many will separate the wheat from the chaff and jump to NXT. Bitcoin price going down, not supported by williebot and China now, also helps them see other alternatives.

Could you imagine if one of our core devs spent their free time spreading FUD on other alts, I would be seriously concerned if they did. Jeff is afraid of Nxt. Currently some of those "legends" make themselves look like antiquated self-aggrandizing fat knights. Unable to fight peasants: attacking and turning around the same minute after being countered.

It's unworthy - I would leave them alone: Every reader with brain-button switched on will see the struggling and, yes, some of them will even check out NXT thanks to this discussion.

reputation suicide is a sad thing to see, we should feel compassion for him. these bitcoin fund raising startups are getting lots of VC money and press but few are actually doing much as far as actual fund raising for crypto projects goes.

Reallocating capital to the most promising projects is what NXT AE is enabling and has been for some time. Without silly delays for no reason. Capitalization at the speed of tech, instead of at the speed of real world bankers.

I think SuperNET has some bitcoiners spooked, but it will actually help bitcoin adoption so I am not sure why they are so worried. Maybe they are seeing all the assets taking over the coinmarketcap and realizing that there is no way bitcoin can compete with all the assets as assets are of all types and not just clones of bitcoin.
