Ardor or NXT use case question
« on: December 06, 2017, 02:05:38 am »

Which if any platform would be better for the following use case?

Vineyards and Specialty Food companies selling overseas.

The goal is to have a blockchain based qr code on every label to authenticate its origin. For example a company has a food product that is sold overseas , however it is often competing against counterfeited products. By having a blockchain based qr code on the product and an app on a smart phone , the consumer could easily tell at the point of sale if the product was genuine.

If Ardor might be used, does anyone have any links that I may further research.
Thanks.!

I'm curious about how many steps are in your supply chain and would you want to validate each step in the process to guarantee a clean, legitimate path from origin or do you just want to document the origin?

The use case would be to validate the final bottling of the wine. So really just at the very end of the chain prior to shipment overseas.

So an RDIF tag and a QR code should do it. If you are looking for simple archival NXT should work. Will you want to prune this record? Then definitely Ardor.
