Weekly dividend payment has been processed.
We're launching Coinomat API this week! There can be multiple usages for it, we plan to have some bounty pr contest for creating plug-ins, especially interesting is merchant plugin creation. This will be a good addition for the future SuperNet offer for participating coins, we hope.
I didn't get this week's dividend. I got last week's dividend when my coinomat was on my poloniex account but have since transferred them to my nxt wallet. Help? sorry ignore that I did get the dividend.

I thought value stable crypto holographically pegged to USD wouldn't be possible until Monetary System. But you're doing it already with Asset Exchange. Very cool  8)

If you manage to take away volatility of a crypto asset with CoinoUSD, that's huge! Isn't that what BCNext had in mind?

"Regarding NXT as coins: NXTs are not coins... or at least the creator of Nxt didn't want them to be seen as coins. They are tokens that grant privileges for supporting Nxt.

Deflation is not much better than inflation. 'Real' coins should be created on top of Nxt, and be issued in quantities that keep their value constant. BCNext understands that this is very arguable. The community should decide if it wants to follow the path showed by him, or stick to the Bitcoin legacy of an unchangeable supply of coins with which people hope to become rich by doing nothing."

Yes it looks almost like BCNext plan. However CfB pushes forward MS, for some reason he thinks it will be better than using assets as coins.

Yes, there's a number of such projects now - Bitshares, Nubits, ours. CoinoUSD is definitely the most straightforward way to have an asset tied to "real world" currency.  You're just providing market making services for the asset, the way central banks do with traditional currencies.
Personally I don't believe in Bitshares, Nubits approach is very interesting though, they change money supply, another thing which traditional central banks do. But I still think that our approach is more natural.

It would be cool to have custom coins on NXT blockchain, but I think the problem is the fees. You should have your fees in your coin, not in NXT. Not sure if they plan to implement that.

hello Coinomat,

If in US, how do I send $ and get coinoUSD? I don't think it is clear on the site. I don't have PM, EgoPay, or OKPay. Any other way? And what would the fees be?

thanks

At the moment we can accept bank transfers from trusted members. Soon we'll be able to offer a public banking solution.

Bank transfer to CoinoUSD will be with zero fee of course. Withdrawal around 1-2%

You never can tell anything for sure when working with banks and crypto at the same time, but we're on the right track, we have even two alternative solutions now. So within a month we will be accepting wires.

Woohoo! Glad to hear. Too bad wires takes fees on the order of magnitude of 25 dollars. I'm so used to 1 NXT to transfer assets #spoiled

Weekly dividend is paid.
New API is available on beta, also BTC-E code transactions are available. Will be on the main site tomorrow. If BTC-E codes launch is successful we will implement other voucher codes for other exchanges.

I took at look at the stats for Coinomat recently as I own a couple of thousand shares.

First I have noticed that for the past three months we have been losing volume.

Second, perhaps more interesting, I've noticed that the number of trades per day peaked in August and has since declined.

I was unable to find any information about future plans by reading the FAQ at Coinomat.com. I also checked the thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=732392.0 and was referred to https://coinomat.com/globalstat.php (which is where I got the data for the charts).

What am I missing, what is the Coinomat story? It's nice that we are targeting 3% to 4% a month return for investors (based on 1.5% of their trade volume) but if our trade volume is actually decreasing I would like to know what will be done about it. There is nothing on the news page (https://coinomat.com/news.php) which deals with this. All of the services seem launched or well known or at least announced. I also checked their blog (http://blog.coinomat.com/) and I don't see any projections of value, or other statistics.

Has anyone heard anything? Are we still in beta or something? I own shares, I would like to know if anyone has any info thx!

What are the use cases for the api?  How do you expect that people will be using this?  Please respond in non-technical way, if you can.  I read the referenced page and it is very technical.

Been using Coinomat to pay my credit card bill for a couple of months now, great service, absolutely love it.
Tried to pay my new credit card, which failed, but have to say, the Coinomat personnel were on top of it and got me a refund.
Thanks guys!

Well, probably you don't follow our developments close enough, which is for sure fine, but just let me remind you that only during last month
we have done the following:
- launched unique CoinoUSD asset, tied to USD, which created NXT/USD market on NXT AE
- listed it at Poloniex.com, creating BTC/USD market there
- Launched public API
- Listed our Coinomat asset at Poloniex, which allows to trade it for BTC
What we have in the pipeline:
- Debit cards. The agreement with the bank is reached, the separate legal entity in EU which will deal with card payments is created. Currenty we're waiting for the cards issue.
- Accepting bank transfers. We have come to agreement with a brokerage, which has all appropriate licenses to deal with money transfers in EU. At the same time we have a back up solution with a payment processing company which servers a major Bitcoin exchange.
- SuperNET participation. We will provide the exchange services for all the participating coins.
All this is quite huge, and the volume will grow  A LOT.
