UI feature request: supernet-like PINcode login screen.
That would be fantastic for smartphone use. Something like NxtVault, integrated in the core.

Client UI: better means of handling multiple accounts.

Historically Nxt has strongly encouraged account re-use. However, as I understand it, account re-use is more or less incompatible with privacy (because it makes block-chain analysis too easy). In particular, the forthcoming shuffle feature will require all the output accounts to be brand new. If I get paid weekly, and I shuffle a portion of what I earn, then I could be creating around 50 new accounts a year, each year. Managing this in the current UI would be impractical. Even if that example is too extreme, I think if Nxt wants to position itself as supporting privacy, it should look to managing scores of accounts.

@Brangdon, is the new way of switching account in 1.7 is good enough such that this feature request could be considered done?

UI feature request:
Add "Data Cloud"->"Upload Data" submenu on the sidebar so new data could be uploaded in one click.

100% agree, it should definitively be a submenu.

It's a big improvement for my three MainNet accounts, but I don't think it scales adequately to scores of accounts. I currently have about 10 accounts on TestNet that came from testing shuffling, and I don't let the UI remember the account numbers because it would be too cluttered and disorganised. I keep my TestNet accounts in a list in another app, and I put notes next to each to remind me what the account is for, whether it's shuffled, even what its current balance is.

I have to say, I've no idea how shuffling is going to be used on MainNet.

Client GUI Request: on the login page, keep separate account lists for MainNet and TestNet. Only list MainNet accounts when on MainNet and only list TestNet accounts when on TestNet. This will reduce clutter for those of us who use TestNet, and make it harder to accidentally use a MainNet account on TestNet.

That's the request I'm also hoping for.

Well it's simple. It won't be used on mainnet.

You are not alone, same opinion here...  :(
Though it might be used more than minting  :D

Why can I not close my account after creating/joinging a shuffle?

Why is there a prefixed number of participants in a created shuffle?

Why can I not shut down my node after creating/joining a shuffle?

Why can I not shuffle to other peoples account? In other words:
Why do I need the private key of the receivers account?

Seems to me shuffling would be much better without these limitations.
It might actually even be used after removing all these limitations....

Did you see my post #16 answering those questions? There are good reasons for limitations. In general, doing things trust-free is simply harder than having a central authority you have to trust.

Great idea! +1
It would be relatively easy for devs to do such a thing, I believe. I mean compare to what they have done up to now...

I Would really like to see such a feature in Nxt! Thanks for sharing.

I can see the advantage of using NXT for the purpose of message signing and delivery guarantee to remove the need for maintaining a network of PEC servers like in the case of the Italian Posta Elettronica Certificata (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6109)
However, NXT relies on proprietary signing method (not X509 certificates) and I can't think of a simple way to integrate NXT into existing email clients in a general way without coding some client specific plugin for each email client, and there are so many email clients many of them does not support plugins.

What prevents you from currently downloading the client from a remote peer ? No need for any local installation and the standard client already supports local signing.
Or are you looking for a standalone application installed locally that will be able to find peers on it's own using a 3rd party service like peer explorer ?

I think it should be the other way around, i.e. Nxt to offer a certified email client of it own. If that is possible.

Develop an email client from scratch ? Surely we don't have the resources for this and even assuming that we find an open source email client and somehow integrate it, only messages between two such clients would be certified and if the users use NXT anyway they might as well just send message transactions.
What is the benefit of using email in this case ?
