It isn't that NaS is wrong, it's that a very dumb attacker will fail. AND we must invoke trust to bring everyone to consensus in their model.

TL;DR: Terrible paper written by someone trying to push PoS by creating a "straw"-NaS model that involves an attacker performing dumb, unnecessary actions that allow him to be penalized.
