AMA June 8
« on: June 08, 2014, 07:29:56 pm »

Ask Me Anything (AMA)

The CoinTropolis team will be around about 5pm US-EST to answer the first wave of questions. Team members will also step back at 9pm and a follow-up tomorrow..  If you have any specific questions you want answered directly, you can email us at info@cointropolis.com.

1. What's the next step?

The CoinTropolis team will be working with our web developer QBTC to redesign the CoinTropolis.com website. The goal is to make it easy for potential crypto related companies and communities to take a look at the different services available under BuildTropolis.

2. How do you plan on organizing your services?

The Cointropolis team is putting together a PR package that will include examples of previous work, videos and bundled options for prospective clients. The bundle will be completed in the next 3 - 4 weeks.

3. How do you plan to drive traffic?

The CoinTropolis team has designated team members that will reach out to the hundreds of crypto communities with the PR package outlined in point 2. In addition to reaching released coins, team members will reach out to all coin announcement developers as they become available.

4. How will we keep track of your progress?

Once the London PayExpo event is complete, the team will post a blog outlining development progress. We understand constant communication is the key to success, updates will be posted as frequently as new developments materialize.

5. How will rewards be distributed?

Rewards will be distributed monthly based on the number of virtual tokens that are held. Payments will go out within 7 days of each month starting in August of 2014.

6. How many people do you have working on CoinTropolis?

CoinTropolis consists of 6 people dedicated to at least 25 hours per week and 6 people that are currently 10-15 hours per week.  We plan on bringing on additional help in the form of part time or contractors each month as operations begin to increase.

7. What’s next after BuildTropolis?

The outline for EventTropolis has already been in place for a few weeks. Once the BuildTropolis kit is complete, we’ll do the same for EventTropolis.  The team has already had extensive experience with EventTropolis by attending different Bitcoin Conferences as well as helping coins remotely.  The rough draft of the Conference Guide that was posted on the NXT forums will be clean-up and put into the EventTropolis package.

8. Could you explain CoinCollective?

CoinCollective is a website that will allow coins from all communities to come together to share resources and engage in common campaigns. We will be contacting each coin community individually inviting them to the website. It’s free for them while also providing CoinTropolis an opportunity to show value to these prospective clients.  Once the new CoinTropolis website is developed, work will shift to CoinCollective.

9. What is your immediate focus this week?

The CoinTropolis team will be focused on supporting NXT at the London PayExpo. The contacts made in London will ultimately help our reach.

10. Do you consider ConnectTropolis launch on the AE a success or a failure?

We feel the launch was success. People were willing to trade for our virtual tokens prior to any of our services launching. The Cointropolis team is convinced that as services start to launch in the upcoming weeks, we will see a new influx of people looking to get involved.

11. What do you think of the current asset price? If you were thinking about 4 NXT for the first ladder step, then what is your estimation of it's worth?

The market determined that based on the announcement alone, the current level is reasonable. Once we release the marketing packaging for the BuildTropolis service, it's reasonable to believe these numbers will climb. I don't know where it will end up, however, we feel that double digits is perfectly reasonable once we start landing contracts.

12. Do you plan to promote the asset further, or do you expect that your business dealing will take care of that?

We will continue to promote the virtual tokens. Our first goal is to get BuildTropolis and the new CoinTropolis website smoothed out. Once people see that we're making progress on ConnectTropolis, it will be an ideal time to pickup the next wave of promotion.

13. What earnings do you expect from Contropolis in the short, medium and long run? ConnectTropolis has 1 million tokens, so if the price stabilizes lets say arount 5 NXT, how much yearly return do you expect the tokens to earn (SWAG)?

Our contract rate will fall in the $110-$130 for upper range projects and $65-$90 for those that require less expertise. There will be different bundles and exceptions to that rate, that's simply the base pricing. Once we launch BuildTropolis in July, we'll have a more realistic idea of the return on investment. We have our ideas, however, we rather wait for some data to back up our claims.

Before announcing this project, we were contacted by one of the larger coins for assistance. If we take on that project, we should see a healthy return through August. We've also been contacted by projects that are on the asset exchange, we will be working with proposals for them when the team gets back from London.

14. When making contracts with 3rd parties, are these contracts tied to Cointropolis or are they for Nxt?

These contracts will be specifically through CoinTropolis. If a new coin is released and they are requesting assistance with organization, CoinTropolis will charge for that service. We believe NXT has the right ecosystem for most projects being launched. If we can direct them to consider using some piece of NXT, those recommendations will come at no charge. We will simply match them up with the right people in the NXT community. When they need help with promotion and organization, that's when our services come available.

If it's a NXT related project, we will always announce it's a paid service.  We want to keep separate our paid services and the amount of hours we volunteer in the NXT community.

15. How "exclusive" are the contacts you make? Do you ensure that other people in the community are involved, so that we are not locked out?

It will be no different than if CoinYellow101 asked one of the main programmers we have in the NXT community to contribute. It's an agreement between that coin and the person doing the work. We will simply follow the direction of the client and maintain responsibilityfpr meeting their requirements and receiving payment. If these contacts also want to get in touch with the NXT community, we will pass them on to the appropriate NXT community members.  There's no locking out whatsoever.   Think of us as a consulting group that's simply opening up our services to the entire crypto community.

The only contacts we haven't shared in the past are ones when the company specifically asked us to hold back details until they can make an announcement. These are not CoinTropolis clients, these are businesses looking to support NXT but on their terms. We can not commit to the number of hours that the NXT community will contribute in promoting, but we do have control over the time we can volunteer. We've never charged 1 cent on any of those previous services. We do it to push NXT.

16. How do you communicate your relationship with the Nxt community to your business partners?

NXT has no centralized leadership, we've been volunteers since the beginning doing what we can to assist NXT. We believe in it's technology and do whatever we can to help it gain exposure. We have no official tie to NXT, we just donate a lot of hours.  We are simply volunteers within the NXT community.  We do hope that as we reach out to new markets, we're able to direct traffic back to the NXT infrastructure.  Our volunteering should not have an impact on our relationship with other businesses.

We are working on a way to track these types of transactions in order to verify rewards based on revenue. When we fully develop the mechanism/method, we will let you guys know the process.
