We should wait PF !!! Should he be of the opinion then the community will decide what is best.

I agree. We should be presented with some options and be allowed to decide on a per share basis.

Hey guys
wiser asked why I had posted on litecointalk asking if anyone wanted to make me an offer on the LTCgear account - i wasn't trying to rip anyone off or anything, here is my verbatim response to him:

Quote
hey man
the only reason that I posted that in the LTC forum was to see if I could recoup enough from selling the account to be able to pay everyone in the asset a fair bit (like, i was thinking in the range of 150-200 btc)
i got offers of like, 5-7 btc though (LOL)
i am still waiting on chris eventually fixing things, this shit has literally has given me an ulcer the last few weeks. :< I wish I could do more.
I actually can't transfer shares whatsoever, Chris froze that functionality entirely, but rest assured that the moment Chris fixes their website and lets me withdraw on demand that I will be sending out a massssssive dividend payment.  (If he makes up for all of the missed payments in one go, it should be nearly 150 btc)

by the way, everyone - thank you for your patience and understanding with this terrible situation.  i assure you all that i have only our best interests in mind in this entire undertaking.
even if i had found someone willing to pay 150 btc for the account I would have asked everyone in this thread first.
i am fairly sure that chris will have this situation brought to some kind of a resolution in the next day or three.

Thanks, pf. I was hoping that you were merely doing research, so thanks for the confirm. Yup, I'm holding out for a massive dividend. As long as Chris continues posting updates on his website I figure that's a reasonable expectation/hope.

I also still see people on Litecoin talk advertising that they want to buy, so that's also a good sign. I think we're nearing the end of the LOOOONG wait for... something. Hang in there.

Don't call it a scam as long as it is not 100% proved. I believe Chris is working on all these issues and will enjoy the cheap shares I bought over the last few days  :)

When will this be proven to you? Only when 'Chris' actually confirms it or stops updating?

You realize he still is selling products on that website. He has every incentive to continue to stall and no real incentive to make good. The amounts he owes some people are truly astronomical.

I wish everyone luck and all, but he has certainly missed a ton of deadlines with excuses that are weak at best.

So Chris is a terrible communicator. I think that's been established already. Exasperating, yes, but not proof of fraud.

Usually scammers disappear when the scheme blows up. They don't continue to hang around posting cryptic updates on forums and on the website. They don't do server migrations, and they don't pay out large amounts to anyone.

This whole thing has a different feel, like Chris is actually trying. Does that mean it will all be roses? Not necessarily. It may still turn out to fail, but not due to premeditated fraud. Right now the delays seem to be pretty normal. I can name quite a few other people in the cryptospace who have missed deadlines due to things taking longer than expected. Maybe in additional to poorly communicating, Chris is not good at estimating timelines with any type of accuracy.

When will this be proven to you? Only when 'Chris' actually confirms it or stops updating?

pf, when the LTCGear website is in a more finalized state, I'd like your honest opinion on the security of the site, in particular its vulnerability to future attacks. If the security remains weak, then this situation will happen again and one time he won't catch a breach in time like it appears he did this time. This will inform the extent of my future involvement, though I'm not selling my current shares until we get the dividends.

Thank you for the updates pf.
I can imagine you getting sick over what happened.
But rest assured, we all know we're in the same boat and you can't do anything if you dont get paid either.

i hope ltc gear get its problems worked out and things can return to normal.

Keep in mind, people who are saying that it's likely LTCGear.com is legit are also effectively now bagholders who haven't been paid in three weeks.

Their incentive to keep the myth alive is they may hope to unload the bags onto someone else. The problems with this service go well beyond the recent issues with 'communication.' The entire site was structured in a way that made the offer seem 'too good to be true.'

It's fine to remain optimistic but with people trying to dump their bags onto others it's hard not to be cynical about this whole fiasco.

And where were you when this asset was first being offered? You could have been warning us then. Did you communicate with either pf or James to tell them your concerns? I read through the entire thread before buying my first share and I don't remember seeing any warning posts from you.

My incentive for staying positive is not because I'm looking for some gullible sucker to dump my shares on. As I said before I'm taking a risk by holding (and buying more) and I take responsibility for that risk no matter how it turns out. Anyone who buys or sells today has this entire thread as well as plenty of threads on Litecoin Talk and the updates on LTCgear.com to help them make an informed decision. Putting shares up for sale on the asset exchange is of course pretty anonymous, but if I were personally selling shares, I wouldn't try to paint a rosier picture of what's going on than what I see and I would hope the buyer would do his or her homework.

Keep in mind, people who are saying that it's likely LTCGear.com is legit are also effectively now bagholders who haven't been paid in three weeks.

On a side note, how much damage, if any will NXT suffer with a 150 BTC buy order  :o

Is it wise for PF to exchange that all at once IF ltcgear pay up ?

Just a thought.

If I knew pf had all the funds, I wouldn't be too picky about how he chose to pay out--a massive buy wall would undoubtedly raise the price of NXT, or trigger an epic dump into the wall. I would advise against just buying up the sells on the order book, but waiting for a large buy to fill could take a few days.

The asset was designed to create a demand for NXT. I would say we purchase NXT and pay out in NXT even if this takes some time due to low sell liquidity.

Paying out in MGWBTC is ok, but I'll quickly be converting mine to NXT.

Hi, it's not my place to warn adults about investing in assets. That was the job of NXTInspect and 'Kongzi News Service; at the time these assets were being sold.

I was merely commenting on some obvious facts now that LTCGear is clearly exhibiting signs of a collapse.

No need to get your panties in a wad, my friend.  ;D

Just what I thought. No one who "knew all along" says anything until the information is no longer useful. But it sure is fun to pile on now, isn't it?
