Strange. Last week everything was normal, I didn't change anything in my node.
My hallmark is: c900b86353e13e891624c9558226e2d407a28bc1c8b2725f4b1889cbf5a9c50d0b003231372e31372e38382e3530c00000545233015e1ae99cfa6a09e3aa5bdae71b7f46d607baab3f482753e1838833260b6bb2ff0ea62f9eec6add49d3da44f53cc2f4b475ffe17b5b88f2ea383efbb9e0eea53465

Might want to stop/start the NRS client?

I think I found the bug in the code.  I'm running the check for hallmarks every hour.  However, I don't think Ebby coded with that in mind!  So, we're counting nodes more than we should be, because he bases part of the calculation on the timestamp returned from the node that's being used for the checking.

For example, my node just returned "time":21186673  Ebby checks to see if the last time that this node was seen is greater than this number -70400.  Now, I thought maybe 70400 was the number of seconds in a day...but it's not evenly divisible by 60. Does anybody know what time unit "time" is expressed in by the NXT API?  Seconds?  And when the counter for "time" begins?  (i.e. the time the blockchain was started, the time the node was launched, something else??)

21186673 is the number of seconds since the start of the genesis block. (November 24, 2013, 12:00:00 UTC)

Received 178.5 NSC, yeah! Thank you very much!

I've cashed out only half of it, keeping the rest until all the other's got their share.

Cobaltskky, thank you for the good work, highly appreciated!

You're welcome! :)  For curiosities sake, how many nodes are you running and how much NXT is in the account(s) that you used to hallmark them?  I want to check my expected distribution for you against what you actually received, so I can (loosely) verify the script calcs.

Mine is cryptkeeper.vps.nxtcrypto.org with account id NXT-FDMW-3E4C-PVQD-4XCNC, balance is 10K+.

You're running only one node under this account? O_O  I think there might be something wrong with the script if you received that much for one node! lol

Good that I sold only half of it - lol.

Tell me the real numbers and I'll transfer the overpaid NSC back to you.

Thanks!!!  So, 70400 is certainly not a day's worth of seconds!!!

I'll get the code updated for the next distribution.  The amount should come down, but we'll still see the majority of nodes captured.

Thanks, but don't worry about it!!  Our mistake.  You reap the benefits.  Consider it a gift for maintaining your nodes despite these payout bugs!  :)

Also,  we likely owed you some anyway due to the bug where not all nodes were being captured on a regular basis. ;)

OK, I restarted my node. Could you check it now?

Total of 13660.12 NSC will be distributed ..
- congratulations.  :-[

And who do you think will buy all this NSCs ?

One acc received (and he even does not maintain that node - forkedchain does) 178.5 NSC, and dumped half for 6 NXT/NSC = 535 NXT = $21  - not bad 1 week income from a $5/month VPS.

Me too, 182 for a single 11k+ node.
That's really huge  :D

Looks like this time the distribution of NSC is skewed a bit too much towards hallmarked nodes, some adjustment of that is advised or buy orders will complete evaporate next Sunday :)

@abc, I think I mentioned there's a bug in the software? Future payouts won't be this high. Please read the entire thread before posting snide remarks.

Even with the bug, we basically paid out back dated nsc that we owed these operators when we weren't consistently capturing their nodes before.

Update: accidently typed Devphp . Sorry, this wasn't directed toward you!

Bug was fixed today. I'll keep checking logs this week to make sure it doesn't appear before the distribution next Sunday.

Hi again Cobaltsky

I think now is everything good: http://54.88.54.58:7876/nxt?requestType=getPeer&peer=217.17.88.5 gives good result.
But http://54.85.132.143:7876/nxt?requestType=getPeer&peer=217.17.88.5 gives different result.

Maybe here is the problem with my node visibility?

Also one thing comes to my mind, but I'm not sure am I right. I run two instances behind the same router. One PC is private NRS node, another Android TV stick is public node. Ports 7874, 7875, 7876 from router are forwarded to my public Android node. Meantime my private node is shut down. Could here be some mess with two instances running with the same ip address to the outside world? IMO, if ports are forwarded to public node in router, there could not be a problem. I'm not sure now. Can somebody explain this matter?

- thank you for your hard work.

How much NSC per week will receive 1 node after this bug correction?

Thanks a lot to the people who sold everything directly and crashed the price.  >:(

Please be patience, there are whales you occasionally buy a lot of NSC, but now they will probably give less than last week. You dumpers are not helping yourselves. :-\

You shouldn't really blame people, they act in their own economic interests. This dumping means they see more immediate value in NXTs than immediate or future value in NSC and have to recoup their costs of running nodes. Same as when miners dump alts for bitcoin. Which again proves the urgency of the InfFund to prop the market as the buyer of last resort for a few months until the network can support itself on its own.

They probably don't know what the effect was for the dump. The InfFund isn't likely to buy ~55000 NXT worth of NSC-coins weekly. We need a whale…. again.  :(
