Miners are here and will be up hashing shortly.  I just spent $500 on power supplies, haha, they will be up and hashing soon.
Tonight's payout will be the last payout without any fees - starting tomorrow there will be the 2% fee, 1% of which will be distributed amongst the shareholders.
I will have an updated website with a shareholder section up prior to tomorrow night's payouts (which will include the fee) so that shareholders can view the current amount owed to them, as well as the current dividend / share / day.
I should hopefully have the miners all reporting into that dashboard via AntMonitor as well, so individual miner statistics will be visible as well.

ps, the pool will have just shy of 5 TH online tonight.  We should be bringing another ~8 TH online next week that has already been ordered and paid for.  We also are investing in a single 56 MB scrypt ASIC for less than $1000 (to ensure that the pool has a minimum amount of scrypt hashrate to hop onto new coins with).

We are exploring some large purchases of older S1 miners (which are currently the best hashrate / $ mining equipment) -  I may have secured 100 S1's for less than 0.2 BTC each, I am working on 0.16 BTC/S1 and am hopeful it may be close to that.

All initial assets have been released. I also released enough to fill all the orders that were put in prior to the first batch of assets being released. NXTventure just doesnt have enough assets to fill all the orders, especially since there is one order for the entire lot!

Anyway, there is a price ladder and after that ladder, it is up to the free market to decide on price

you know what I like of the nxt mining multipool hashrate. Is that it drive the price up of Nxt instead of driving down the price like in standard pow coin. There is no selling pressure from the miner here, it is instead only a buying pressure.

Sorry for the late update guys! I have a bit of a foot injury which is making me move around a bit slower than usual.
I will be pushing out the website updates over the next hour or two - if the stratum has to be restarted, I apologize in advance.  I have verified that all of the first 10 S3's are working properly (except for 1 chip on one of them, but i will likely be able to fix that with arctic silver tomorrow).

I will be getting them up and running at the dedicated space tomorrow morning - i had intended to have them running already but had a few big setbacks (it turns out the electricians put in the wrong types of receptacles - this has already been fixed.  It also turns out that trying to save money on the 850W PSU's for 2 S3's isn't a great idea, even with a gold rated PSU.  I had to return the five PSU's I had originally planned to use and get 1000W ones instead due to the 850W ones having flaky performance.

I will update this thread once I am done the website updates, and you will all be able to see the shareholder section when I am done as well.

Hi all,

We've had a couple of setbacks - the internet circuit is not operational yet, and the Telco technician isn't able to get out until Tuesday or  Wednesday (it's a long weekend here in Canada, with Monday being a stat holiday)
The electricians also put in the wrong receptacles (l5-30r, instead of l6-30r - this means that the PDU's that I had ordered are not compatible).

I've been out there most of the last two days - the space should be able to hold a couple hundred S3's with only a few modifications to better increase air flow.  I will be posting pictures of the space in here.  I have also set things up so that once the dedicated internet circuit is up, there will be a live IP video feed of inside the mine as well a a live feed of the power meter (which clearly displays exactly how many KW/h have been used by the equipment).

Until the internet circuit gets working properly, I have tried just about everything to get a connection working in the meantime... There are no other wifi signals there whatsoever.  I originally tried using my iphone a a hotspot, then connecting a router to it and hiding the miners behind the NAT in the router.  This was super flaky.  I've currently got a blackberry behing used as a hotspot, but it only allows 5 devices to connect - currently the router, and four of the miners are connecting.

I am trying to track down a satellite modem that we use at work that I might be able to borrow for a few days that would be able to connect everything properly.

Sorry for the lack of updates.  The initial dividend payouts will occur on a weekly basis, and I will finish getting the 'shareholder' section of the site develped in time for the first one.

My apologies again for the connectivity issues the space is having - the lease term only started Aug 1st, so I wasn't able to request the internet connection go in any earlier than that.

Oh, and I'm also doing some bulk buys of old Dell server PSU's to minimize the cost for power supplies for any of the equipment going forward.

How long (in days) does a typical mining shift last?  I've been looking around the site and haven't seen any sort of indication other than the time codes on the payouts, which I cannot seem to decipher.

i think I heard pf said (a long time ago) that he wish to go to 4 shift per days. I'm not sure if that is currently the case.

Currently approximately 1 shift / day, I am working on aligning the stats to better show the various metrics per day as opposed to per shift (as well as modify the graphs).

By the way, everyone should now see the previous 24 hours of hashrate history for X11, SHA and Scrypt in their my miner dashboard.

SHA miners, please pull all your hashrate to our pool - Parallelcoin's block reward stops being 0.1 and goes to being 2 in another 4 blocks, I would like to hit it as hard as possible for a while.

BTW, I am meeting the electricians at the space tomorrow morning at 7AM.  They will run a new cat6 cable from the building demark into our space, then the Telco tech will be out either Tuesday or Wednesday (they couldn't tell me which, I will escalate it again first thing Tuesday however) to try and get the service up.  We're running the new Ethernet cable as the existing one is in poor shape and I want to eliminate it as a possible source of the problem.


There are also 12 more S3's that should be delivered by Thursday that I already have the tracking details for, and I just bought 36 more S1's which should be here by end of the week as well.

Are more shares going to be issued to people who have an open order for the original distribution price or are we currently at whatever the market is selling for?

Basically, should I cancel my open order for 1,015 @ 10 NXT?

It is my understanding that the original offering sold out and that there will be no more issued. If you want some you will need to buy at market price.

I think that in Ontario Canada, they are most likely to run from hydroelectricity or nuclear. I think that it might be a mix. pf should confirm tho.

Apologies for the lack of updates the last day or so.
The telco is sending yet another tech out tomorrow morning, I am meeting him onsite.  In the meantime, I have secured us a cisco router that supports using a aircard as a wifi failover. I will be heading over to the site and bringing it online with this still this morning.

this means that even if the internet circuit goes down in the future, it will have a cellular network to fall back on.
that should let the first ~5 TH stay online (it has sporadically had 2TH or so coming online through my tethered phone).  I am recieving another 12 Antminer S3's tomorrow, and there are 36 Antminer S1's that should be arriving early next week.  That should bring us close to 20TH.

I will update this post a bit later - again, sorry for the lack of updates, getting this all online has been about ten times more work than I had thought that it would be.
We are also in the process of constructing some aluminum ventilation ducting that will allow us to exhaust the hot airflow from each shelf of antminers directly outside (using in-duct fans, the same way that heat from hydroponics lights is dissipated - how can you tell I'm from BC?) - this should allow us to have a higher equipment density than was originally ever thought possible.
