At first i would like to thank you for all of your effort developing and maintaining the Hashrate-Pool.
Even if there is a lack of news and information from time to time, i think you are doing a good job.
For example not to dump brandnew coins, furthermore the pool is quite stable now and the website is nice as well!

But back to business:
What happend to keccak-mining on shift 178?
I pointed about 100 kH/s at the keccak-multiport.
The earnings show 0.005654 NXT for the whole shift.
in shift 177 i earned 16.94 NXT with the same hashing power.
Where did my shares go? I checked the miner-stats for my worker-adress several times during the shift and it seemed like i didn´t mine a single coin!
Given the information from the hashrate-table i was mining maxcoin all the time.
In addition the dashboard always showed 0 keccak-profitability. Is this even possible?

In general i wonder about the profitability values on the dashboard.
Could you explain where the data comes from, please?

At last i would like to know what you suppose to to with the darkcash-coins.
Is there any way to get rid of them? I saw the coin on some exchanges by now...

Hi djoser!
The darkcash coins I have been sitting on hoping that the coin will eventually rise.  I can liquidate them and pay them out at any point in time, but I would not be surprised to see the price on it get pumped sometime soon (and my plan was to sell them off as soon as that happens).  They have been staking all along (so I will actually increment everyone's balances accordingly).  I might have been mistaken to think it would pump, but I thought it would go a lot higher than it has due to the low coin count.

In regards to that keccak shift - unfortunately maxcoin difficulty is a lot harder now and I think the problem was that we simply didn't solve a maxcoin block that round.  Maxcoin was more profitable than 365coin for a couple entire shifts, which is why if we didn't solve a maxcoin block at all the profitability would have stayed at 0.  The shift before that we lucked out and solved about 5 blocks and had a super high keccak profitability though, so over a long enough timeline it reduces the variance.

The estimated numbers on the main page are calculated by keeping track of each algo's average hashrate over a shift.  The estimated profitability (ie, how much the coins solved so far that block should be worth) divided by the algo average calculate the current profitability.

Here's the actual code for it (I've released about 95% of this pool open source in a BTT thread, pm me if you'd like the link to it)

Okay, that makes sense to me. I didn´t notice that there was no block found during the shift, hence my confusion. Bad luck, but it is well covered by the previous shift (177)

Yes, Hashrate is a mining pool and not a fund, but mining considering the economical rules of new coins on the cryptocurrency market makes much more sense to me.
New coins are worth nearly zero when they are started, so what´s the point of selling them right after mining when you can get multiple times of NXT just for waiting a little bit?

Historically, keccak is usually the most profitable way to mine.   X11 sometimes, but with our limited hashrate it depends on luck for a large part because sometimes X11 doesn't solve a block in a certain shift
I will truncate the earnings and payouts and coin transaction lists right now to get rid of a bunch of the ancient historical data.

I will work on the JSON profitability - I can easily reveal the previous shift profitabilites, but turning those into actual dates is a bit trickier.  I might just cheat and make each shift's profitability count for a full day historically, then finally automate the shifts to change at 12:01AM PST so that I can just use the shift profitabilities as the daily ones.

It currently checks every 8 minutes.

BTW, for the shareholders - i have been able to double the amount of FPGA gear that we have acquired this week.  This means approximately 1 BTC will be coming in for dividends weekly from it (considering Scrypt-N coin difficulties are actually going down, while the coin prices are staying stable!!)
I am just paying for an additional order which should start paying out for by next week which will bring the FPGA income up to approximately 2.5 BTC/week  (absolutely amazing - that will just be from the FPGA gear, not any of the SHA equipment either)  with an ROI on the initial investment at about 37 days (our first FPGA investment has brought in 1.5 BTC on a 2.25 BTC investment only three weeks ago).  I am super super stoked about this.

Correct.  Once I have the new gear credited properly to my account and the payment processed, I will post the manufacturer I am using in this thread (as up until today I haven't wanted to increase any competition on what limited gear they have been bringing online and offering for sale).

Once all of the initial raised capital is spent.  We've still got another 60,000 NXT before that happens.
I may yet sink them into additional FPGA miners if I hear that they are able to bring any more online (the return on investment on them is absolutely unbelievably high still.  I hadn't thought that we'd see mining hardware that could ROI in less than 45 days ever again.  I have been unbelievably lucky by having a contact inside the FPGA manufacturer)  The best part is that none of the competitor Scrypt-N/X11 ASIC hardware looks like it will be shipping any time in the next several months.
Whenever we do change to the 60/40 ratio, the best part is that it looks like we would be able to buy an additional hosted FPGA miner (each miner = ~30 MH of Scrypt-N or ~180 MH of X11) every ~10 days!
