didnt the block difficulty double? Wasnt that already stated?
btc difficulty never doubles, it usually goes up 5-10% at a time
There are many factors to take into account such as difficulty and luck. As a pool our expected time to a block is roughly 25 hrs. This week we have had better luck and have solved multiple blocks in a day.

http://P2Pool.info

Is a great place to check out P2Pool as a whole and see the luck charts.

So, do you buy NXT daily, or just on sunday to make the payouts? I'm curious wrt the recent NXT price dip that occurred this week if you bought at that time.

Currently this process is manual so only on Sundays. We are looking to automate it. jl777 is working on a pretty interesting project that might be able to be utilized.

Yes, as soon as I find the memory glitch, I can finish the InstantDEX ordermatching. Then all regular sellers of BTC for NXT can fund the autoconvert NXT -> BTC payment. This way NXT instantly is accepted everywhere BTC is accepted, well not actually, but as long as the spreads are good and the liquidity is there, it would sure seem like that is what happened.

How much dividends for each nXtGenGHS share (Nxt/week/nXtGenGHS) ?
An average of the last few weeks would be welcome. TY
I dunno where to find an answer to that question.
The links are found throughout the thread which have all these stats.

Is it possible to update first post with a link to the descriptive document? That would be a nice way to communicate your weekly results.

I do plan on doing that when I get home next week. Currently we are just setting up the S3 units :)

BTW, for those who are going to buy some mining equipment, is this really a good value or just advertising mimick?
I do not follow miner prices but the given hashpower and capital seems like a good value at first glance (my glance, that is :-)  )

Two ZeusMiners, Two Amazing Deals
Both with estimated ROIs of 57 days!
44 MH/s Scrypt Miner for only $950
That's just $21.59 per MH/s!
30 MH/s Scrypt Miner for only $650
That's just $21.67 per MH/s!

Scrypts are currently taking a major beating, profitability is struggling around .0005 BTC/MH/Day
so for 30 Mh/s scrypt miner, you have to take care of hosting and electricity and hardware failures will be producing a whopping .015 BTC/day. (even if you eliminate the aforementioned overheads you will be making about 10 dollar a day, almost three to break even without considering the overheads)

And in a couple of months with the mega scrypt miners on the horizon the future for scrypt miners is even more bleak.

I've just used the calculator and with VERY low electricity price and the ROI resulted in some 90 days.

Though as I said, I'm not investing into mining equipment and may be missing a critical point.

Just posted to let you guys know, maybe someone is interested.

Where do you guys house your equipment?
I am renting warehouse space to proceed full on with the Hashrate community owned mining pool - would you be interested in relocating your equipment to the same space?

Rent is ~$1000 a month and power is ~$0.10 through EPCOR, plus some overhead expenses for stuff like the AC (during the summer monthes) and the security contract.
This is something we do not disclose for security reasons. Our electricity is much cheaper that that and we are beginning to offer invite only Managed Colocation Solutions for those with high energy costs. We will begin offering this service publicly once we have our second facility up and running.
Much cheaper than $0.10 a KW?
- crazy, I didn't know Manitoba averaged 7.8 cents / KW.
Hopefully we are years away from mining ever being that tight of a game, anyways.
Conditioning the power still makes it so much more expensive than base rate anyways.

It is because or the 100NXT minimum payout. I didn't reach that too so i also got no payout.

Hm, okay the problem is, if I bought one asset for one week to test the asset and sold it after this week, i won't never get my NXTs.

I am sure GQM will pay out your dividends if you ask him, e.g. by PM. The minimum 100NXT payouts are in place to protect your dividends being eaten up by transfer costs.

You can see the last spreadsheet here

https://nxtforum.org/assets-board/(ann)-(nxtgen-mining)-the-next-generation-of-mining!/msg64277/

BTW, today is payday  ;D

yea...the spreadsheets showing the dividend for the actual week.
It would be nice to see the "balance" (dividends added up) for users who did/do not reach the minimum payout.

I think this is a must to be honest, I appreciate we could prob go back through the previous sheets to work out our out standing ballance, but then I think its upto the asset owner to keep a running total on the sheets every week so people with not many assets know exactly what they have earned to date.

Cheers
Mark

I remember the exact things were said about Bitcoin mining the only ones delivering consistently was ASIC Miner. Avalon had delivered only a couple small batches and I think most of us know or have heard the BFL nightmares. Finally when Avalon and Bitfury finally got in the game and delivered chips the markets flooded with equipment in September and October. Then November hit. The entire time I continued to mine well it sat around $80-100 last summer and people kept telling me that it was unprofitable just as they did when it was $10. I always look at it as a long term play as you are investing in the technology itself. If you are doing that then you have to believe in it because you are now participating in the long term development of that technology. I don't care what the value is today but what I can do to hedge my investment for tomorrow.

Just my opinion and there is no way to predict the future but mining is exactly that investing in the technology itself.
