How to transfer Ardor (as wallet is closing)
November 02, 2017, 09:24:30 am

Hi all,

I do have a question. Since the next wallet is closing now, how do I transfer my Ardor to another wallet (nxt.jelurida). I can see any option to do that and wonder if I am just misisng something (stupid) of if that is some kind of more complicated process.

Many thanks for your help!

Hi LauraKX,

First of all, the official wallet (nxt.org/download) isn't closing, of course. You can download and install the official Nxt wallet in your device from the download page (recommended), or use the public NRS wallet made public by Jelurida, the Nxt developers (https://nxt.jelurida.com ) . What is going to be shut down is the 3rd-party community driven web wallet called mynxt.info, so you should transfer your funds/assets from that wallet

Here are some instructions about how to do it from mynxt.info > https://wallet.mynxt.info/faq.php

I would also love to know how to do this!

I cannot see any way to transfer ARDR from the web wallet, or even how to change it from ARDR to NXT?

Any help would be really appreciated!

I managed to get access to ARDR by simply downloading NXT Client

Open Client and select returning user
    Input your NXT account number
Welcome to user friendly layout with intuitive transfer process for assets and NXT!

Yes, but when you log in to the official Nxt client using your Nxt account number (NXT--...-...-...-...) you can see your balance, asssets, etc. but you can't make any transaction (i.e. its kind of a read-only mode). You need the passphrase to make transactions.

Here you'll find a method to export your passphrase from mynxt.info. (https://wallet.mynxt.info/faq.php) Once you've exported it, write it down and keep it safe (of course don't share your passphrase with anyone!)

And always double check that when you log in to the official Nxt client using the passphrase it opens the same Nxt account (NXT--...-...-...-...) every time, just to make sure there aren't any typos in the passphrase you've written down (watch out with the capital letters, blank spaces, special characters... )
