Appreciate the interest. I personally believe we wouldn't always be able to be transparent about how our servers are handled, marketed and maintained. It remains in the best interest of the business to protect some aspects as they are our trade secrets. We have an ambition of setting up 100 servers around the globe by the end of the year. 50 in America, and 50 across the globe. The obvious underlying concern here would be to scale up. We've had a few parties being interested in advertising with us giving us quotes in the 4 figure range. We'll be posting a proposal to the community here later regarding a marketing campaign we'd like to run.
I had a pretty good conversation with Pf . He had a conference call come that day and had to leave. Hope to catch him soon
I like the expansion plan, but i'm little bit worried, will the scaling up be successful. Will you make enough money from advertising, to pay for the costs and is the risk worth for the possible profit? If you catch a good deal with an advertiser, how long-term are those agreements? Can advertiser leave at any point? Can those ads be blocked by users? Is it a fixed amount for the advertisement deal or is it based on server usage?
To be honest, i dont know pretty much anything about the market for online gamers. I know there are lots of alternatives, including free ones, but what makes Freebieservers special?
If you make acquire the servers, you have get alot of new customers to fill the servers. How much is the cost for customer acquisition?
1. Will we make enough from Advertising ?
Yes
2. Is the risk worth the profit?
Yes, the way it will work -we'll be in profit even if had 0 VIP buyers
3. How long term are these agreements?
Am looking to deliver 5 to 10 million impressions over a 6 month period
4. Can advertiser leave at any point?
No, but we can work together on tweaking the campaign to produce better results
5. Is it a fixed amount or based on server usage?
Every free consumer is greeted by a single message of the day - so its fixed at the moment. We're tweaking this for more profit
What makes freebieservers.com Special?
Freebieservers.com is different in the server market given the fact that it is the only provider which provides the servers at the nearest locations (via its wide network of servers) , with the highest amount of slots , no questions asked for as long as the consumers use the product. Unlike other providers we don't see our "Servers" as a 1 or 2 day demo that players can use. We see it as a service we provide to gamers across the globe. This has helped us inculcate the kind of following we've witnessed on various platforms such as reddit. We are
NOT your average game host. We are a community of gamers that also happen to provide servers in the process. My prime focus has always been building a community/userbase around this since the beginning and that is what we'll continue to be. Going forward we intend to launch a much wider array of services but right now our primary focus is to garner servers across multiple continents, paid for via ad revenue. Going forward we could evolve into all kinds of things. Etc : We've been considering providing the complete server back end for major games in exchange for them running our ads and doing a rev share model with hem. Another thing we might do in the near future is figure a way to award top players with cryptocurrencies for their in-game performances and thereby be a medium that garners early adopters for games. The future is bright and I am glad to have an opportunity to build it.
What are our marketing costs like?
So far we haven't spent a penny on Google or any other marketing streams. We ran a test campaign on reddit but didn't find it all that worthy. The only place we are still paying for marketing is facebook . Even at facebook we've a minimal expense of 6 cents per like in comparison to an average of 3 usd per like. The domain name gives us the added benefit of ranking #2-#3 for terms like "free game servers" . Going forward most of our consumers will be acquired via sponsoring servers for competitions and major teams. Most of this is already being done and am sure we can host a number of major cmpetitions to get more members on the board. In addition we've also launched an affiliate system to acquire users. We'll be providing 3 usd for each VIP purchase and 1 cent for a free sign up. We're still tweaking on the marketing. Truth be told we've never had to market much because fundamentally we solve a problem many gamers face - we offer a product they'd like to use. Word of mouth does the magic in most cases
