Title: Bringing the SAE back to life : Barter
Post by: Freebieservers on February 24, 2016, 11:32:22 pm
Since the collaboration with Coinomat didn't go as intended, I have decided to re-launch the asset myself.
We will be releasing the product only if we hit our mile-stones. If not I'll just issue a refund.

Freebieservers is proud to bring back the Secure Asset Exchange in a new variant. With the back end of the project being made open sourced by the former dev (kushti), the project has been waiting upon new leadership to take it further and capitalize upon the decentralized asset exchange while ensuring value additions are made.  The new SAE shall be run by the name of "Barter" and aim to create a cross currency asset exchange platform that allows for individuals to buy assets from other currencies, conduct asset to asset trades and initiate exchanges without reliance upon external exchanges. It will also enable new businesses to raise funds from the community, and ensure new members of the community have a user intuitive platform for raising of funds and purchase of assets.
(copied from prior thread)

Project objectives.

Bringing back the SAE to its former variant - with a new front end and server. This is the main objective, and the project will be launched with the same functionality SAE had.
Add cross currency asset exchange with support for Btc, Eth and Nxt
Enable on-platform cross currency exchange
Enable Asset to Asset exchange
Create a user friendly platform for businesses and investors to interact with each other.
Project deadlines
Integration of new front end and v1 launch- 14th March 2016
Integration of cross currency exchange - 21 March 2016
Additional features to make the project a kick-starter hybrid - 7th April 2016

Asset details

Assets issued : 100,000
Asset Price : 20 Nxt each.
Assets Represent a total of 40 percent of profit in the project.
Profits will be derived from deposits, withdrawals and trades conducted on the platform.
Asset id : 16345606434139628711
Asset name : BarterFS

Mile-stones.

We'll begin work on v1 of the project which will be a basic iteration on hitting 250,000 Nxt (12,500 assets sold)
Further additions will be made contingent on how the assets get sold .
If we don't successfully raise the required funds, I'll do a refund of the funds raised.

Will reallocate funds once Coinomat refunds form the previous listing.  Still looks like a good project

BTW, do you know how the refund of the coinomat asset will happen? I will also reallocate those funds here, once I get them back. ;)

Large number of people said the same to me.
I think he'll wait until tomorrow and do a refund.

Actually I'll set a buy wall now. If new devs turn up you can buy the assets again.

Buy wall is set at 3 NXT, so you'll even make a small profit, to compensate for this weird situation.

As promised, what I put in the previous asset I moved here. I think it's a great initiative!

Thanks, but I have more of the asset to sell then the buy wall had left  :-\

Bringing back the SAE is imperative to NXT' success in my opinion. At the moment its hard to use NXT for newbies, and the SAE made it easy.

I would be glad to promote SAE to newbies if it would come back.

While we are happy to develop it and release it, I am limited in terms of how much focus I can give to the fund raiser as we're also in the launch week of gamebet.gg.
So far the fund raiser has been a slow process. Looking forward to seeing substantial progress over the weekend.
The SAE is imperative to the future of NXT and so far no group has come through offering to build it.

Common investors! If we want SAE back we have to help finance this! :)

If we don't successfully raise the required funds, I'll do a refund of the funds raised.
What is the deadline for collecting the funds. I really wish you collect what you need, but so far it doesn't look promising also because coinomat has announced in another thread that he will also start creating a clone of SAE...

Given the work I have involved with gamebet - the last thing I want to do is take my eyes off it.

3000 NXT
Shame, I should have not trusted someone I never dealt with before... :(

Edit: actually 2700, as 3000 was including your "bonus" in your initial barter buy wall. ;)

Why did you invest in the first place? It was obvious after the situation we had with Freebie that he's a complicated person, lol.
Freebie pls return the money, I think no one will want to deal with you here any longer if you don't do it.

You're right. Just was too impulsive.
Thanks coinomat! Really appreciate your help! :)
Have a nice day and hopefully Freebie answers to your call! ;)

the question is why coinomat didn't do his due diligence, instead of immediately announcing something and making an asset, next time take some time to think about what you're doing and who you're doing it with.

lesson learned
I asked some people about Freebie and I was told that he CAN deliver, although he's not an easy person to deal with
After I started it with freebie other people turned up sharing their awful experience. So I pulled the plug
If freebie does not return that 3k I will do it.

If you guys had awful experience with him - so why don't you share and just watched?

I haven't been screwed by a freelancer since like 3-4 years, so maybe he caught me off-guard.

Hey,

My bad!
I sold the asset to myself without pulling the sell orders.
I'll fix it  + Send a 20 percent extra for my mess up within the hour.

As for coinomat and the others..
Really guys ?
I haven't been on here in 3 days.

Just to clarify,

1. I did put a buy order, but since I hadn't cancelled the sell order - it sold it back to me. Absolutely my fault.
2. I sent you extra for the delay and inconvenience I caused.
3. I have also bought back all the assets

We will pursue the project at a future date - may or may not be on the nxt blockchain.
Edit : could someone tell me how do I cancel the sell orders?

If you use NRS click on Asset Exchange then on Open Order then click on Cancel next to the one that you want to remove.
