Unless anyone knows of an app that already functions?  There's a Chinese app that doesn't work, for all I know it's just trying to get people's passphrases.  So if anyone can make a new app that works and can trade NXT assets between an Android device and an Apple device, post the link here and I'll send you some money.  But I'll send it in NXT Assets, using your app, so make sure it works.

Thanks!

By the way, why can't there be a NXT Lite app that's exactly the same as the ARDR app?  Couldn't they just point it at NXT instead, and use the same program?

If someone started with that, we'd be a lot closer to trading on the NXT Asset Exchange on mobile.

Hi!, I'm not a dev, so I can't help with developing anything, but the official Nxt wallet is available for Android, and you can perform with it the same kind of operations that you can perform with the desktop wallet.

I think the Chinese app you are refering to is http://www.walletnxt.com/EN , which is developed by Zhang, a Chinese member of the community. It works a little different than the official one (you need to give your account a name and a password to access to it from your device, in addition to the passphrase), but I don't think it tries to get anyones password. By the way, Zhang has also developed the Hebe wallet, which is compatible with Nxt (and many other Nxt clones). It's available for Android and iOS, but it doesn't support assets, voting or some other functions that you can find in the official wallet

Have you used Zhang's wallet?  I couldn't get it to work, it didn't seem to do anything.  But I did type in a 12-word key phrase.  Is it open-source, so we know the app doesn't send our passphrase?

Anyway the Jelurida Nxt mobile client is not listed in the App Store or Google Play.  At least not if you search for "Nxt wallet" or "Nxt client".  Ardor comes up though.

If anyone is serious about the possibility of widespread adoption, it will have to be an app that people can download from the phone's app store.

I don't usually use it (because I mostly use the desktop version which has more features such assets, voting, etc) but yes, I have walletnxt by zhang (v1.1.1) installed in my Android device and I was able to create a new account an import an existing one. There is a modifiied "compatible" version of walletnxt also available at Google's Play Store. As far as I know, it was opensource up to v1.10.5

Anyway, I wouldn't spend a lot of time trying to run walletnxt. Zhang has already announced that this wallet will be discontinued by the end of the year... :(

Zhang is now focused on Hebewallet, which is compatible with Nxt, is available at the Play Store and works pretty much the same way as walletnxt. Unfortunately, I don't think it's open source (or I haven't found it)

And yes, I agree that it would be good for adoption to have the official Android apps listed on the Play Store. None of them are at the moment. The Ardor Lite wallet that you can find there is a 3rd party wallet developed by mrv777, not the official one.
