Nonce?
« on: August 13, 2014, 07:48:00 am »

I've been trying to figure out how to decrypt an encrypted arbitrary message and I can't quite get it.

Where can I locate the nonce for the encrypted data, it doesn't seem to be anywhere  ???

Hello jones,

you can use the API to decrypt messages. If you have NXT running take a look at this:

http://localhost:7876/test?requestTag=MESSAGES

I know this much but there is a field called 'nonce' that I cannot seem to find the right value for. And it errors out when left blank. I just need to know how to calculate the nonce or find it somewhere in the apis

Nevermind, I got it, the data wasn't encrypted at all, it was just put through a hex encoding, just decode the hexidecimal and you have the message.
