Which client is the "best"?
« on: April 03, 2014, 10:09:35 am »

Hi all!

I am a huge noob with Nxt and I just want to start with a good client to manage my humble stake. Which do you think it is the easiest to use? the most trustworthy? the most secure?

Thank you for your thoughts!  ;)

I personally use Offspring.

It has a wallet like the more familiar bitcoin altcoin clients.
You can store the wallet offline, and name it whatever you wish.

I agree, but it's still beta and not completely tested, so use it wise.

Offspring seems really straight forward and written well.

good that the attribute "best" is written in quotation marks - because of course the answer depends on what you want to use it for.

[shameless self promotion ahead:]

my PowerTools is not the prettiest and very much under development - but it is certainly the fastest:

new api call 'parseTransaction' added to 0.9.7 core yesterday, available for testing TODAY:

With the latest updates, IMO the "NxtWallet" is working fine  ;) Everything you need (Assets, Monetary System…) is there!
