Title: [Windows/Android] [NxtQQ] NXT client
Post by: btc2nxt on April 27, 2014, 03:04:07 pm
NxtQQ is ready for AE in windows platform, including English and Chinese  in it.

download here
https://bitbucket.org/btc2nxt/nxtqq/downloads

readme
For using NxtQQ, User must input account and secretPhrase, then click fresh Asset button to get asset. Because NxtQQ has not database now, it don’t save any account, asset, or any other records.

After AE launched, i will develop NxtQQ in Android platform.

btw: QQ is the most famous client in China, so i combine Nxt and QQ for the name of my client.

How would this client work on Android. Would it do local signing of transactions?

I don't think we have proper Android client right now

btc2nxt is a full time tester for the AT project so doubt this is even on his/her mind. AT is more important I think.

An Android wallet would be good. I have sent a PM, maybe (s)he will be willing to pass it over or has other plans for it.

We shall see  ;D

I am working AT now , a little bit busy ,so have to stop Android client developement.

If Technique Community would like to support the project,  i appreciate to restart it and find a Android SDK guy help me.

I've put an ad up for the job

https://nxtforum.org/job-board/%28android-sdk%29-dev-wanted-to-android-wallet-support/

I will ask the Tech Dev Fund if they want to put money up for this, we could crowd source some extra I bet too  ;D

NxtQQ cantain two different applications: one runs in Windows Platform, this is heavy client; one runs in Android ,this is a light client with client signing.
NxtQQ supported Chinese and English, for many Chinese have poor english.

there are several things to do:

1. design a nice GUI.
2. wallet
3. client signing.
4. implement Nxt API.

FYI
I think thin mobile app is good idea. Bounty should be comparable with price for developing mobile application like that. No random slump numbers. Funding will be per each completed stage.
It is not a hard and innovative task so only result would be funded. Write more precise roadmap, get it approved and get NXT for each completed stage.

So this means one can code a whole other client for an asset on the NXT blockchain?  Transactions ride on top of the NXT API/infrastructure?  An end-user doesn't even need to know that it uses NXT as the back-end?

If that's true: HOLY SHIT.

I'm thinking I was way late to the Nxt AE party. lol
